MTCNE Satellite Approach

More AMI Training in More Locations

AMI satellite training locations provide quality Montessori training to a new geographical area through an existing well operating AMI training center. MTCNE began its first satellite course in 2015 to meet the needs of another city in its state of Connecticut but soon grew in the northeastern United States, nationally and internationally. Satellite locations operated by MTCNE and approved by AMI can be a one-and-done site, delivering a single AMI diploma or certificate course, or a sustaining partnership. In the latter instance, the ultimate goal is training a local AMI diploma holder to become an AMI Director of Training so the satellite location can become its own AMI affiliate, independent of MTCNE.

Steps for New MTCNE Diploma Course
@ Satellite Location

  1. MTCNE meets with potential partner to discuss satellite possibilities.
  2. If a new satellite is of mutual interest, then a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) is developed to clearly outline partner and MTCNE roles and responsibilities. The MOU is signed by CREC and partner leadership.
  3. MTCNE identifies a Director of Training for the satellite course. The trainer creates a course schedule based on mutual agreement between MTCNE and its partner/s.
  4. Partners supply MTCNE with all requested information needed for the AMI Modified Feasibility Study.
  5. MTCNE completes the feasibility study and submits it to AMI.
  6. AMI reviews the feasibility for approval.
  7. Upon approval of the feasibility study MTCNE enters the course information into the AMI data base system known as CAS.
  8. Recruiting, marketing and the application process can begin and if sufficient enrollment is secured the course can take place.
  9. A CREC contract is generated and signed by the satellite location partner.
  10. Provided the course has sufficient enrollment, the course is delivered in the satellite location based on the agreements set forth in the MOU, AMI Feasibility Study, and CREC contracts.
