Welcome!
As part of the intergenerational legacy of Montessori, Renilde Montessori advanced her grandmother’s work while envisioning a geographic place where educator preparation, research, and real-world Montessori practices could thrive together with academic rigor.
We’re honored to carry forward a portion of the Montessori legacy here in Hartford through decades of collective work.
Our “collective” offers teacher preparation in partnership with academic degree programs, and since 2008, it has created research spaces for practitioners and researchers to co-construct knowledge together. In Hartford, Montessori education is present in both public and independent schools, supporting pre-service teachers and learners from birth through young adulthood, across the four planes of development.
We invite you to join us in the work to support Montessori Forward and contribute to the next 100 years of Montessori.
